About Us

 

At AZ Low Vision, our mission is simple: help individuals with vision loss maintain independence, safety, and quality of life.

We understand that losing vision can affect nearly every aspect of daily living. Simple tasks such as reading mail, managing medications, preparing meals, or enjoying hobbies can become increasingly difficult.

We understand that losing vision can affect nearly every aspect of daily living. Simple tasks such as reading mail, managing medications, preparing meals, or enjoying hobbies can become increasingly difficult.

Through specialized occupational therapy services, we help clients develop practical strategies and use adaptive tools that allow them to continue participating in meaningful daily activities.

 

Marla Pomeranz, OTD, OTR/L, CLVT-S, M.Ed

 Dr. Marla Pomeranz is originally from Miami, Florida. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida in Education and her Master’s Degree in Education from Northern Arizona University. After starting a family, Dr. Pomeranz returned to school earning her Master’s Degree in 

 

Marla Pomeranz, OTD, OTR/L, CLVT-S, M.Ed

 Dr. Marla Pomeranz is originally from Miami, Florida. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida in Education and her Master’s Degree in Education from Northern Arizona University. After starting a family, Dr. Pomeranz returned to school earning her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from A.T. Still University. Her passion for working with older adults inspired her to earn her Post-Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy with an emphasis in Geriatrics. 

As an occupational therapist, Dr. Pomeranz works with people across the lifespan in their homes to do the activities they want and need to do empowering them to participate in meaningful activities (occupations). When coming to your home, Dr. Pomeranz will work with you to evaluate your situation and develop individualized plan with you that allows you to resume or pursue your valued occupations. Whether your goals are to maximize your ability to read, cook, play cards, attend school, go grocery shopping, navigate electronic devices, or just have more confidence in your home, together we will work to reach your goals to get you back to your life.
